Im watching "the supersizers eat...the fifties"

Im learning loads! Fascinates me!

How american culture came in by the end of the decade - first big coffee machine was 1952 and there were 500 coffee bars by 1960! Folk eating pizza which was called something else...

Hairstyles, 10pin bowling, knickerbockerglorys etc!

Aaah ive said before 50/60s- what a decade! The programmes brilliant! Fascinates me xx

I seem to remember the original Coca Cola bottles being taken off the market because certain prudish elements thought the shape was too 'feminine' and suggestive.
Anyone remember that?

there was no instant coffee, it was lions coffee made in a pan on the stove
