did anybody who watched this think that the lovely old lady ruining the hotel "muff" looked and sounded like Betty Boothroyd?

It's a nickname. The hotel was called Godolphin. I thought the parrot was called Muff.

Anyway, I hope it all works out for her. She came across as a lovely person.

I only watched about 10 minutes but there were a few 'double entendres' delivered in a deadpan style. As Alex was suggesting partnerships with local clubs/attractions I was half expecting her to suggest partnering with the local swimming pool for the Muff Diving Experience
