I've never watched this before but tonight's story was brilliant with a real twist at the end. Have they all been this good?

saw the twist coming a mile off.....(but then i am a nutty nurse!). seriously, though, both programmes so far have been really good. am looking forwards to next week! x
I think they've all been absolutely brilliant - but I didn't realise this was series 2, and I'm sorry I missed series 1. Superb!
Icg, I thought tonight's was the last in a series of 4?
Didn't realise there was a first series either but have rally enjoyed the first two episodes of this series (saving tonight's episode).
Question Author
I didn't see it coming at all lcg. Excellent performances by all, even John Bishop.
Naomi, according to my sky link thing, there is another one next week.
Sherrard, there have been four plays in this series - tonight's being the last I think.
Question Author
According to imdb the first series aired in 2010.
Really, Sherrard? I do hope you're right. Brilliant stuff!
Tonight's was number 3...............
Question Author
Yes just checked. 4/4 shows next week.
So Is / was she the baddie? We will never know. Excellent series. I saw the first one. Would someone remind me of last weeks episode. I have racked my brain to remember if I saw it or not.
Thanks Prudie. I must have lost count - but in this case it's a bonus!
Last week's was about gangs and gun crime. Just awful - but good!
Hi Jeza, I think it was about the mum (hairdresser) and grandmother who kept quiet about what the grandson did (without giving too much away for people who haven't seen it).
Last weeks was the one where the mother protected her son, who had killed his mate.................
The fourth and final episode of Series 2 is broadcast next Tuesday, 4 September on BBC1

Thanks guys. Yes I did see it. It was good too, tonight's was better.
Series 1 had 6 episodes aired in 2010. This series (current series) has 4. We've seen 3 so far and they were all good, although I thought the first one, Tracie's story was outstanding.

If you enjoyed them look out for anything else written by Jimmy McGovern in the last 10 yrs. His series called "The Street" was equally good and worth catching up with if ever repeated.
I loved the first episode where Sean Bean played a transvestite. A very unusual roll for him, but he did it brilliantly and it was so moving.
