We got bored with Coldplay too. We turned it off!
Paid £1 ?? Far too much! They should have paid us to listen LOL :)
Which member of the Royal Family attended, I must have missed that bit. I sincerely hope it wasn't the Queen.
Edward
I thoroughly enjoyed the whole ceremony, I thought it knocked spots off the last one.
Glad you did pips, but I expect you liked the music. Like a lot of ABers have said if you didn't like the music it was almost unwatchable.
Yeah ... dire.
I didn't mind the music but C4 showed too much of Coldplay and not enough of what was going on in the stadium. I agree it was more like a Coldplay concert.
Really enjoyed it all.

The opening ceremony kinda showcases all that is good about us Brits, the closing ceremony is basically a celebration and party. Sorry if some of you didn't enjoy the party.
No I didn't like it at all Mass, a funeral would have been more fun methinks!
I agree with sp1814. What has PC got to do with it.

I really find this very worrying that we are at the stage when people think they are being politically incorrect for implying they may not watch disabled people on the tv and choose a concert instead. It does not matter. You are not obliged to watch it. I havn't and couldn't care less what others think.

Coldplay would be my answer.
Understand that you didn't enjoy it Ann, Fun Funerals?
Don't understand why you started posting negative comments at 9.25 and were still watching and posting 90 minutes later.
Why didn't you just switch off or turn over?

not my idea of fun, coldplay that is, they could have done a couple of numbers and got off. I wanted to watch the athletes more, hear from them and their enjoyment, instead we got a concert by a band don't particularly like. Shame because i thought the show itself was very inventive, seasons, and all that.
didn't watch ...
Totally agree em10. I like some Coldplay stuff but I thought he had trouble reaching those high notes. Got bored and switched over.
I was lucky enough to be there - surprise ticket from a friend. I loath Coldly. But I have to say it was brilliant.
I love Coldplay and I thought they were brilliant last night.
I love Coldplay and am sorry I missed it. And I am far from young.
but why did it seem more like a coldplay gig than a national celebration, like watching the two twerps that make up the pet shop boys today at the victory parade, they were totally rubbish.
