Anyone else see this? I thought that the Muslim funerals were so chaotic and that poor woman having to plan h own funeral. Certainly food for thought. (Not trig to be miserable or maudlin though.)

Found it really interesting and hadn't realised there were people such as the civil celibrant (or a similar job title) for those who are not religious enough - like me - and consider a local priest/vicar a little hypocritical.

Certainly prefer some aspects of the Muslim funeral and wonder why we have such a long gap between passing and the burial/cremation.

Its apparently on for a few episodes so will check out next weeks.

I'm not religious either but the Muslim funerals seemed a bit slap dash - no one seemed to be sure that the right body was going to the right family. Felt v sorry for that woman though.

the muslim funerals dont give anytime for autopsy's either,makes ya think?

I agree about the mum - but being single and with only young/teenage children does mean there is no-one else.

There again she looked quite young so maybe her parents?? or siblings??

An in reply to alan-r : As far as I can determine Muslims do allow autopsys - in fact I believe they were one of the first to do them - but there must be a good reason for it and it has to be done as soon as possible. Not sure if the local coroners office can confirm this!
