May I say how much I've admired you for the reasoned,articulate way you defend your corner without resorting to the childish name calling of your detractors. I don't need to tell there's no-one
as illeberal as our liberal friends. They are great champions of Human Rights & Free Speech but of
course only for certain people & those who agree with them.
Please don't think too badly of them because a lot of us had these simplistic views when young & finding our independence.I'm afraid I can't explain why some people don't develop a rounded, open-
minded outlook. Perhaps some of our better educated posters could explain.I wonder is it something
to do with having led a sheltered life or just a stubborn refusal to listen to any-one's views but their
own.
Anyway, I've painted a big enough target on my back for now. Apologies if I've
embaressed you at all(not my intention) just wanted pay tribute to your Stoicism.

I would just like to add that this would be the most boring forum ever if we all agreed.

I prefer to correspond/debate with those I tend not to agree with quite so much as I live in hope that anything I have wrong can be put right. I have fairly firm views but am always open to changing my mind through reasoned argument. Unless in my cups of course, then logic is irrelevant.
