I've rather obviously missed a rather important chunk - what's the story behind Christians baby being black?

Christian slept with that woman (i forget her name now) from the sex addicts anonymous meetings. When she became pregnant Christian presumed it was his OR she lied to him and said it was his as she had not had sex with anyone else. In the delivery room, the baby came out black and it transpired that the father was another man who she had a one night stand with. He features in a few subsequent episodes. I wont say what happens as i dont want to ruin it.

Thanks - how come Christian still wants to be the baby's father tho - wouldn't have expected it from his character?

well without giving away anything that happens (unless you want me to!) he just grew attached to this baby that he had decided to commit himself to with the woman. I guess it serves the purpose that he does have a nice/respectable/mature side to him. I guess you could say the viewer already knew about this side of him from his relationship to shaun's family, particularly to the son (matt) and daughter (forget her name ?)
