What did everyone think of this series? Was fascinating and well acted in my view, but does anyone out there have insight as to whether the whole code breaking thing is actually used in criminal cases - and how?!

Gave up after the first episode. Didn't grab me I'm afraid.
I thought it was very good.
I thought it was quite good, but then I like Anna Maxwell Martin, I think she's a terrific actress. I'd definitely watch another series if they bring one out.
Good generally but with a few holes. I couldn't work out - probably never will - how maths can be applied to such a random act as a serial killer.

How did Crowley get her address & phone number?

Few anachronisms too. Supposed to be set in 1953 but 'fill-in' shots showed London streets and Routemaster buses. They werent in service then.

And direct dialling calls (STD) didn't come in until the end of 1958 for the first time - you had to go through operator!
I like Anna Maxwell Martin too Rocky. I first saw her in Bleak House and she was brilliant in that.

It wasn't very gripping but I did enjoy it.
I first saw her in a film called Poppy Shakespeare, it's excellent, try and watch it if you can tigger.
