Bargain Hunt - leftover lolly
16 Answers
In Bargain Hunt why does Tim ask the contestants to pass him the leftover lolly so he can pass it straight to the expert?
Wouldnt it be better if he just told them to pass it to the expert?
Annoys me ever time I see it, dont know why, I know I am being silly.

Thinking on it, it is very rare to see them pay & they never walk off with the item do they? They always leave it still on the stall.
Yes Elvis, I know what you mean, I think I could do that job, wonder how I can get on there LOL!

Makes sense as TV. If he takes the money, he can talk and josh with to the expert when doing so, which is a lot better, and more natural; he being in charge; than the contestant just handing it over to the expert in silence with him commenting.
Anyone who buys retail and then sells in auction, where most bidders are trade, has a job on their hands, but this is entertainment and instructive in what the experts say as they're going round. And Tim is a character; like some World War Two RAF chappie!
