Saw a program recently on Animal Planet about an African eagle which lived on cliffs above a gorge and fed mainly on Rock Hyrax. The name in Latin,(or Greek?) meant red cheeked and started with G. Can anyone tell me the name of the species?
The only eagle I've found that has Rock Hyrax as 90% of their diet is Verreaux's Eagle which also lives on the cliffs. Another is the Giant Eagle Owl - neither is G, but that's all I can find. Perhaps someone else will have better luck.
