One could not fail to notice that during the recent scenes of violence inflicted upon a male character by his partner in Coronation Street, that no advisory message or help line telephone number, appeared at the end of the episode.

Apparently in the early days of the Kirsty/Tyrone story they gave out the number of Mankind but were so inundated with calls they had to close later that evening. Maybe they just show helplines intermittently now.

do you really need a "soap opera" to tell you to get help !!!
Quite deggers.
I was watching Tom and Jerry and Tom ran into an iron which changed his face into an iron shape. I was rather surprised that no advisory message or help line appeared at the end of the cartoon as I felt rather traumatised by the whole thing.

If you don't like the show, change channels or switch off.

Why are you so touchy?

I wasn't criticizing the show I was merely making an observation, and anyway these advisory notes are always at the end of the show, so it's a bit late to switch over then isn't it?

If there was any criticism to make it would be against these increasingly regular warnings or advisory notes at the end of certain shows.
ano - Sorry, I read your comment as wanting MORE of these advisory messages.
