"Its not real "

Am i the only one (i know I'm not) but recently this has bugged me Soooo much more than usual.....
When we post a Q regarding a soap or long running drama, why do we have to explain ourselves or almost apologise by saying "i know its not real" just to appease the moaning gits who feel the need to point it out every soddin time!!

Why do they need to A). Inform us its not real
B). Inform us that they dont watch it

Good, great, you don't watch it so p&ss off and let us comment at our leisure!
Soaps bring a lot of comfort and enjoyment to a lot of people who may not have much else to do or not able to get out.....OR ...... just ENJOY them, i think the AB Editor should 'Remove Answer' when anyone informs us that 'its not real' etc....they are becoming increasingly boring!!
Phew i feel better now! Off to watch Hollyoaks on catch up! ; )

Also agree. Shakespeare's not "real", nor is opera etc etc but fans of same don't have to suffer the same slings and arrows of outraged ABers. I never open Animals and Nature, it doesn't interest me so I don't feel qualified to offer snide criticisms.

I finish people that do that seem to try and make us feel they are somehow superior because they don't watch X. Frankly they just look like boring plebs who have nothing better to do than comment on something they have no interst in.

I tend to put 'knows it's not real' as a sort of sarcastic comment to the charmers who like informing us of this fact !! I also posed a question a few days ago about Tracy and one Aber made the inane comment that it depends on what the scriptwriters decide - priceless !!

Masma......my point entirely! You do feel as if, when you are into soaps or t.v in general, that you are inferior for some reason? Its like Zebo said, i wouldnt go into the category .....for example.....dating/relationships category and tell someone to 'get a grip' its only a relationship etc.....i only venture into certain categories to give an answer or an opinion.....i TOO have been chastised for my strong feelings towards Lorraine Kelly.....but you have to take it on board, BUT, these people who continually spout the same old boring sh&t ......'its not real'....'its only a soap'.....just need to SHUT UP

I total agree also, if they dont watch it why are they wasting their time on the thread? They obviously dont have anything better to do? Maybe they should watch a few soaps!! LOL!

I dont comment on threads I dont have an interest in so why do they?
