But then again I don't mind it overglazed BUT which is best ? Now watching Antiques Roadshow (BBC1)

Best ? there is no best - it depends whether you paint the thing before or after it's glazed!

I love a bit of Scrimshaw ! BUT this one is rather static ! Don't you think ?
well the value reflected that, well and truly, oh the shame of our ancestors wrecking antiques, but then we (as a generation) do as well.
I can only think of one way to find out....
