No doubt been asked before but I couldn't find it. If I come out of Sky, do I retain the Sky+ box (I think it's mine, but not entirely sure), and could I still use it as a Freesat recorder? Would I need to buy the Sky Freesa card?

You lose the record functions (and playback of any existing recordings) if you've not got a sky+ subscription.

you could use it as just a basic freesat box, but that's it.
Oh, and you can just use your expired sky card to get the freesat channels.

Thanks - perhaps, then, a Freesat+ recorder box would pay for itself within a few months.
