When you see things like camel's feet served up to be eaten by the contestants on I'm A Celebrity, do you think the animals have been killed for that purpose? I do, no matter how much the programme-makers may deny it. I find it hard to believe this is permissable as entertainment in this 21st century

i have never found this programme entertaining, just stupid.
I'm sure they won't have killed a camel just to serve it's feet up to a z list celeb!
stranger things have happened.
they eat camel meat in Aussie there thousands of them
There are animals e.g. Rats and hundreds of insects specifically bred for this programme but I think it's safe to say the camel wasn't bred just so some 'celebrity' could dine on his toes. As diggers says camel along with ostrich, croc and many other creatures are farmed for food and the toes were probably butchers offcuts that might otherwise have been boiled up for glue if I'm a celeb. had'nt snapped them up
there are billions of animals around the world bred and killed to be eaten. What's so special about a camel?
Billions of people around the world would be revolted at the thought of me enjoying pigs' trotters and black pudding - which I do, often.
camels feet ... just like pigs trotters, same principal just different animal!
you cant beat a bit of brawn...not that i eat it myself lol...
I wonder what regional delights they could muster up if the programme were staged here??!! ............
God I dread to think!
Haggis!
There's no difference between the eating a bacon sandwich or a bit of ..errmm..camel toe..It's still a dead animal.

In fact many folks around the world would refuse a bacon sandwich on religious grounds.
Fagitts and pays for yow WBA ;o)
perhaps the camel would have preferred to have kept it's feet.
I think by the time it's feet were being removed it was past caring.
if they filmed it oop north they'd be breeding Mars bars to be killed and fried, and headhunters from darkest Africa would be watching in horror.
hey, flipnflap...don't think the camel was killed simply for entertainment....what we need to understand is that Australia hosts a multitude of diverse communities who see eating a camel in the same way that we see eating a cow/sheep/pig..... and apparently there are more camels in Australia than in the 'deserty' places that we all imagine they should be!
Pity they do'nt eat each other.
Indeed Mr Builder..Bostin
