Car directions from Naples airport to Pompeii

Going to Pompeii in May and would love advice or a website on directions from Airport to Pompeii by road if anyone can help

Would love to be able to help you timberup, as I have done that journey. However it was so long ago I can't remember. Nor was I driving so don't take too much notice.

I have done this a couple of times by bus, can't say I envy you driving it. While I am not being precise on directions other than head for the E45 towards Torre Annunziata/ Pompei/ Sorrento, it is a tight, fast and awkward route out of the airport environs.
On the plus side, parking will be very easy this time of year and the ruins will be less crowded than in the summer months. Try to fit in Herculeneum / Ercolano - I think it's actually better than pompei.

some of those Naples motorways go straight past people's windows, so don't take your eyes off the road just because you think you've seen Gina Lollobrigida getting into the bath.
