don't get me wrong, I like Charlie & wanted her to win, but why all this hoohaa with her daughter?

She's 7 so why was she not at home at school? I think she would have missed her Mum less if she was in her normal routine.

The schools in this area do not allow children to take time off school unless under exceptional cirmumstances. Kiki must have been off school for at least 3 weeks.

tell that to all the parents who allow thier kids to be off school mulling round the shopping centres
Pearls a singer sorry wrong brooks just let me babble on there
Maybe the show provided a private tutor for get daughter, I doubt any school private or public would object to that
You got a point there, but maybe there was no one to look after her.
Her grandmother was with her phleb.
is your mum appearing on IACGMOH not an "exceptional circumstance" then?

I suppose it is Boo but 3 weeks is a bit accessive.

When my son asked to take his son out of school for just 2 days (it was in a weeks school holiday but was 10 day holiday so just overlaped) he was told a flat NO, if he took him he could be fined.

My grandson has a 100% attendence record so it wasnt that.
Right, three weeks in school at the age of seven or three weeks in Australia (or wherever it is). Maybe Charlie stumped up the £50 fine, expect she can afford it.
Blimey Millie, talk about sour grapes. It's up to THE PARENTS of the child to decide where and what they do. Sometimes schools might attempt or actually succeed in strong arming people and implementing a fine. Not everyone cares about that. My kids were home educated so didn't need anyone's permission to go anywhere except mine- perhaps this might be the case here, and if not then who cares frankly, it's not our business.
As Sherr says, for a expenses paid (Im assuming?) trip to Oz, i'd be prepared to pay the fine too.

NOX - No sour grapes at all, sons situation was ages ago & he got it sorted but so much was made about them missing each other I think the little girl would have been better at home going to school as normal.

I think it makes the time go quicker, the working/school week seems to fly by but thats just me.
Better at school Han with her mother. Mmm.
Question Author
Zac - she wasnt with her mother.
She was a damn site closer than if she'd been at school in the UK. And if you don't think that has a psychological effect then your mistaken.
Why would any mother want to leave a young child for three weeks,? different if you have to work.
I imagine Charlie and the others do see it as work. They get paid, and its the exposure they need to continue their career, the fact that they seem to enjoy it is an enviable bonus for them.
It is work.
Can somebody please enlighten me, not the foggiest what you're on about!
Im a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here BT. Charlie Brooks won it who was Janine Butcher on Eastenders. For some reason some people have got a bee in their bonnet over the fact that Charlie's daughter, who's 7, was allowed to go out to Australia where the series is filmed when she should've been at school.
Just a little guess.....ITV would provide a tutor.
