Shocked At Tina's Pregnancy??

Why are most of the residents of Corrie shocked at Tina's surrogacy? I think it is a brave and good thing, so why are they bitching at her, I just cannot understand it at all.

You shouldn't feel so strongly about this ... they are not REALLY shocked - just acting. It is NOT a "brave and good thing" to do - she's not even pregnant really, let alone having a baby for somebody else. "They" are not REALLY "bitching" at her - they are just reading their lines from a SCRIPT.

Well firstly ... bile doesn't come from the chest.

Secondly, from the word "bitching" it sounded to me as if the opening poster actually thought that Tangerina was being given a hard time by the rest of the cast.

Thirdly, I'm a huge fan of Corrie - been watching it since 1976 but I never confused it with reality.

Sorry if I stepped on anybody's toes or spoiled their fun.

I don't know anyone who confuses Corrie with reality, it just raises a topic of conversation now and then, no harm in that.

Neti I thought the same, I expect they're trying to portray the way some people really do feel about surrogacy.

I am not really sure that it would be legal in the real world, ( as it is being undertaken for financial gain) could it actually be called prostitution ?
