Jahmene is a lovely singer and a sweet lad but his appeal has its limitations - and he will only ever appeal to females.

James is a great singer, not cute or good-looking but edgy to a sexy degree. His music will appeal to both sexes and he is far more likely to fill an arena than his opponent.

I don't think Ummmm's being grumpy, on the contrary, she makes a good point.

If people feel the insane urge to waste money on voting, they'll only vote for who they like and not vote purely at others' behest.

It's all a big, pre-determined, money making scam. They will both release records irrespective of the final result. One will have a fairly successful career and the other will sell a few records before fading into obscurity.

Because he has style. You could say that about Cohen, Dylan, Morrissey, Janis Joplin etc etc. Jahmene is a very good singer but he has zilch else IMO.

Tortured treatment? I find some of his songs quite upbeat.

If I sound disenchanted with X Factor, it's because I am. What I've seen this year with regard to talented contestants leaving the show and spectacles like Rylan and Christopher "it's me nerves, Gary" Maloney being allowed to remain, has really made me wake up and smell the coffee. X Factor won't get a red cent off me!
