Does anyone like me think the sound breaks on Big Brother are over done,  Even after the watershed we are giving a warning of bad lanuage and sexual scenes yet still they have sound breaks.  I know the reason why they maybe needed but I still have this felling they are doing it for no reason but to annoying the viewers.  There are times after a lomg sound break it comes back just for a singel word then its back to a long break.

The only reason they obscure some of the sound is so that people will buy the DVD.

The sound breaks are there for legal reasons. When the contestants start talking about companies, products or saying derogatory things about people etc. this is to stop the contestants and show being sued for slander etc.

They are only there for swearing etc before the watershed.

How long is the lag they use for that?

I keep it on for company when I'm doing other things, but it is one of the worst things I have ever seen. A bunch of trailer trash talking about why they hate all the other contestants. Ugh.

The time lag between the events and the "live" broadcasts is usually about 15 minutes.  Apart from things which are obviously libellous, it's also if they talk about their friends or acquaintances in the real world, just in case they are lying or exaggerating or being libellous.

i heard roberto use the F word at 3:48pm yesterday and the sound break happened 2 full seconds after he said it....oops E4!! maybe i should be really awkward and phone in and complain about it like some people do hey haha

I dont know secretsquiz.  But I still think many of teh sound breaks are un necessary (Spelling)

How do you know they are unnecessary if you can't hear what they are saying?
