Jeez them giraffes certainly went for it and I thought that old bull was down and out ..... but it had a trick up its sleeve, the crafty old so and so ....

Amazing telly.

The technical team should clear thir collective mantelpieces for their inevitable BAFTA awards next year...
agree..
Amazing isn't it? I've been looking forward to this since they started advertising it some weeks back.

David Attenborough never disappoints :-)
I'm watching it too. Absolutely incredible!
I've never disliked a programme of Attenborough's yet, I shall watch it on the iplayer in bed later
amazing. i did have a hide under the duvet moment when the giant meat eating crickets then the wasp and spider.
sometimes large screen tvs + hd are not so good. the night pgotopgraphy with the starlight cam was incredible
worth every penny of the license fee
Fantastic show, black rhinos so ugly they're pretty.
the cannibal crickets got their just deserts, fluff. Lordy, the size of those things. Wish I had HD.

I hope there's not going to be any fakery like with those polar bears, though, I was disappointed with Attenborough about that.
I loved the winking giraffe!
i know but they were freaky scary .... i sense a nightmare coming up. looking forward to next week
Think I read somewhere jno that if they use footage from somewhere else other than out there in Africa, they'll explain first, largely due to the kerfuffle last time.
I should think so too, B00, I love Attenborough but I want him to be telling the absolute truth, not filming winking giraffes in a zoo somewhere.
... and I definitely said winking...
lol. i had to check then
lol jno!!!
It was without doubt the best TV I've seen for a long time! I can't wait for next week now. The irony of the world's largest underground lake being right there in the middle of the desert just blew my mind! awesome television - loved it xxxx

In our house, we gave a little cheer when the old bull giraffe won the fight.

I have never seen such amazing photography. It seems that with every new series (Frozen Planet, Planet Earth, Yellowstone), the BBC up the ante.

My only criticism is that perhaps it could have been shown at 8pm rather than 9pm, because this is something that kids should see (I suppose so many people have catch up tv, it doesn't matter).
fantastic. absolutely blooming fantatic.
It was wonderful, I could watch David Attenborough's programmes on a loop for ages, and it looks like this new series will be just as good as the others - and I loved the rhinos at night.
