What a wasted opportunity, I was looking forward to an account of the life of Le Dame de fer and all we got was, "she's going senile hammerred" home at us. Yes lots of old people suffer the same, accept it and tell the meat of the story. I cannot claim credit for this account from IMDB but it sums up the movie very well:
"dementia dementia dementia ghost dementia marriage dementia dementia ghost irakillspolitician, why? dementia dementia dementia makeover dementia ghost shewontlistentoanyoneaboutthefalklands, why? dementia dementia dementia ghost ghost herhotelroomisbombed, why? ementia dementia dementia denentia horridtaxtobepaidbytherichandpoorinequalmeasure, why? dementia dementia ghost gone. "
Wasn't made by Arthur Scargill was it?

It was an insult to the woman who was the longest serving PM of this country. It never even showed any women in the Houses of Parliament scenes. Dennis Thatcher looked more like stanley Unwin. who kept turning up after he died ,what was that supposed to be about then. What ever happened to her last day in the H of P which was probably her best performance ever. Vertually nothing about her becoming leader of the conservative party. How can you have a biography about dementia with flashbacks about somebody who wa one of the greatest figures in the last century.
Starbuckone I can't understand your reasoning. I agree with your description of Thatcher but that doesn't mean dismissing that era of recent history as if it didn't happen. I thought it was a great film but it's important to treat it for what it is and not view it like a programme on the Biography channel.
