Booked myself a day off and chilling after a lie in with a cafetiere of filter coffee :)

Was going to try and head for a potter round Bury Market or head up to Hobbycraft (Stockport) but it's just rain rain rain here so thinking closer to home. Just checked out the Odeon cinema prices, fancy seeing Les Mis, and it's £7.80 before 5pm! Nearly a tenner after.

Crazy prices! Puts me off going, especially the prices of the stuff in there, only usually have a coffee and maybe a small popcorn sometimes but oof! It must cost a fortune to take a family!

we were chatting about this the other day, its ridiculous but check with your phone provider, lots of them offer discounts on cinema tickets
Cinema prices are outrageous but buying a family ticket does help keep the cost down.
Whenever we go I take a very large shoulder bag stuffed with sweets/popcorn/drinks purchased elsewhere as I refuse to pay cinema prices for snacks.
I am from Yorkshire, remember lol
Our local is only £4 before 5pm and £5 after.
Crazy expensive now, OH took son to see Skyfall in the new IMAX screen at our local cinema....nearly £24 just for tickets, add in the popcorn and drinks and it's nearly £40.
Mrs O, I usually do that but OH wouldn't dream of it. There was a news article a while back where Cineworld were checking peoples bags for goodies not bought in their cinemas! My coat has holes in the pockets so stuff falls through to the bottom sometimes ;)
Cineworld have bargain Tuesdays before evening fall and on EE ( Orange ) Wednesday's 2 for 1 which brings price down a bit, Jenna.

We're a family of 6 ( 5 at the moment during term times, as our eldest is residential at Uni ) and usually if we all go, we get no change out of about £60 including snacks, drinks etc, if we go at peak times/weekends.

I get Orange Wednesday Fluffy though just me today unless I can commandere someone not working :)

I had a local discount card for the AMC which gives me student prices, about £4 something but I leant it to a nice Parisian guy who came chatting me up outside a coffee shop then I chickened out of meeting him again (he was a bit intense!) so I need to get a new card.

Wondering if I cam smuggle a Starbucks in, do they still stop you bringing stuff in like that?
Oh ho, I'd like to see anyone dare demand to search me!
ive taken drinks and crisps in before

Ouch Yogi! I used to go a lot with my ex on Orange Wednesday when it was quite good value.

No wonder people just start downloading stuff!
Wot no sausages ^^^^^^^
Question Author
Haha, you wanna come Mrs O? I'll buy the goodies if you smuggle them in :)

I've never seen them search anyone before round here. Maybe I should take my flask and get them to put my Starbucks in it :)
Lol, apparently they were giving refunds to peeps that wouldn't comply, they never, to my knowledge did it at our local one. Mind you, they'd have to be brave, some of the customers are more than a bit rough.
Fluffy.
Maybe I shouldn't admit this but we download a few. We watched Django at home this weekend
Question Author
I draw the line at smugging in sausages :)
I wanna go and see Django Unchained this week, but cant convince anyone to come with me, so I may ask Fluffpot on a date, as long as I get to to put a hole in my popcorn carton. :0)
