What Does Sharia Law Have To Offer Britain?
66 Answers
Keyplus, on another thread, has suggested that Sharia Law is the answer to Britain's problems. This lady, an ex-Muslim, would disagree.

keyplus also stated that Sharia was set out in the Quran and therefore God's words. She also claimed the Quran was pure and not based on the O.T as Judism and Christianity were.
She based this on the fact Muhammad was illiterate and had therefore never read the Bible.
In fact the pre-Islamic world of Arabia was heavily influenced by the Bible.
In Arabia there were numerous Jewish settlements and some Christian against which Muhammad made war. Right next door there was Christian Ethiopia which gave refuge to many of Muhammad followers.
Muhammad himself was a trader and traded with all these people plus
those from surrounding countries.
So Muhammad was well aware of the Jewish and Christian beliefs. He also made reference to them and to Abraham's son Ishmael father of the Arab peoples.
In addition all the Bibles prophets are also those of Islam .
Their holy shrine the Kabaar in Mecca is the site where Abraham was prepared to sacrifice his son.
To say that the Quran is the pure words of God is nonsense they were heavily influenced by the bible.
What are pure are their more extreme interpretation of the punishments in the bible and adopted by Islam in the Sharia.
Life in Arabia especially for women was better before Muhammad. In fact Muhammad's wife had had her own company and wealth before they were married.

First of all my "suggestion" Naomi is talking about was just a joke. But unfortunately "sometimes" Naomi can't tell the difference. Any one who would see that "other" thread would find that out. And here its is,

But as this thread is here now so let’s talk about this.
That woman's claim about Shariah Law in Sudan is not true. She must have left Islam for her own personal reasons. There is not a single country in the world right now that has complete Shariah Law. Saudi Arabia has parts of it implemented and that's all. Few people use this word Shariah Law to abuse their own position in few countries and societies. By doing that they have presented people with something way different from Shariah law and given people something to fear about. And that is the reason today people are scared of word "Shariah law". Because they have presented something else with the tag on it. When real Shariah law was acted upon then message of Islam spread across many areas because of the equality, practicality and beauty of it. And history is full of it, but if someone has to believe in myth then of course Islam was spread by sword. Which Islamic sword went to Indonesia (largest Islamic country)?
First of all None Muslims has nothing to worry about Shariah law as it does not apply on them any way. And then in this world today probably Muslims are more hypocritical about Shariah law than any none Muslims. But finally Shariah law is a very long subject and cannot be talked as a whole. If someone has problems about the parts of the Shariah law then those problems should be discussed. I am sure many of them we have already discussed here before.

Keyplus, //First of all my "suggestion" Naomi is talking about was just a joke.//
Oops …. did you suddenly remember that almost everything you’ve ever posted here is still here? Careful Keyplus. ;o)
//That woman's claim about Shariah Law in Sudan is not true. //
Why wouldn’t it be true? This is the country where, among its other barbaric practices, women have been lashed for wearing trousers, where ranting hordes of madmen have called for the death of a teacher for allowing her class of infants to name a teddy bear ‘Mohammed’ – and where the president has said that a one hundred per cent Islamic constitution would be adopted,
//She must have left Islam for her own personal reasons. //
Yes, she did, and that reason is because she is a woman, and as such was treated by Islam as one unworthy of common humanity. Thankfully she has had the sense and the opportunity to get out – and I hope that many more will have the same opportunity to follow her example. There’s nothing ‘beautiful’ about Islam, or Sharia Law – particularly if you happen to have been born a woman.
