I really fancy it, the girls at work tell me to take a hankie is this true?
Great film..and it is a bit weepy Qom...I tried the novel but kept losing the plot....a bit long for my taste,,,1,500 pages ....
Aww thankyou commoner. I need to find someone to go with though. I might have a stab at the book at somepoint :)
lol QoM....my copy is currently the doorstop on my bedroom door...works just fine ;-)
LOL well if it does the job Commoner
....better than that ...if I can't sleep I start reading it ...half a page and I'm away.....;-)

Mrs BT didn't fancy it so I went alone....and yes, tissues will be needed!
My favourite musical and am seeing the film soon. Radio 4 Extra is serialising it with Joss Ackland.....brilliant.
Loved it,every bit as good as the show.
I thought it was brilliant! Can't wait for it to come out on dvd!

Take your mum, Queenie.. Or is not her thing? :)
I loved it. Mr BM quite liked it. Russell Crowe can't blinking sing though.

I am reading the book again now.
Aw I loved it.!! Went to see it the other week and wold love to go and see it again. I have also bought the soundtrack of it and play it every day.
Its not her thing Erin. Even Hugh Jackman who is her favourite can't even tempt her to go see it. I'll see if one of my colleagues wants to go see it as I know that one wants to go again and there is another 2 that want to go so will see what we can come up with
Queenie, at least one handbag size packet of tissues. Waterproof mascara a necessity. Russell Crowe can't sing and does not come across as evil as he does in the book. That apart, a fabulous film although not having the immediacy of the stage production because each performance on stage feeds off the audience.
Do go. The first film I have ever seen where the audience clapped at the end! Saw a few blokes clutching tissues.
Duly noted Daisy
Loved the musical every time I saw it but never cried...until I saw the film tonight.
I wept.......wonderful film....brilliant acting......even from Mr Crowe and I am still weepy eyed.
Went to stage show with daughter when she was 14.
Went to film with daughter and granddaughter, she is 14.
Tears all around.
Loved the stage show but thought the photography of the film was fantastic.
did like it but not too impressed with the singing.
You are so right Daisy. The photography was stunning and the whole film was a triumph.
Appreciate the singing was very different to the musical but it was live, emotional singing and kind of broke my heart at times.
And don't start thinking I'm a softie.....I'm not and I have an axe! ;-)
Seriously...don't miss this film. x
I want to go again. I was hoping for a Valentine's Day treat but he's off out with my brother.........
