lets start with what model blackberry

and do you have internet services included in your contract?

and are you conecting at home/work via wireless? might be that you just have to turn the 3g on

it works in the house okay as i have computer, new at this sorry, but went out this morning and couldnt get internet. Am I supposed to be getting it or not?

Before you can activate 3G on your Blackberry, you will need a 3G enabled SIM and a suitable data plan. If not, or to check, you can get information about this from your phone network providers’ call center.

Once the above is in place, I think to activate 3G it something along the lines of (but it may depend on what model blackberry you have, info for which will be available on the the balckbeery support web site http://uk.blackberry.com/support.html ) -

Manage Connections -> Mobile Network Options -> Network Mode and select the network of your choice (2G), (3G) and (2G Or 3G).

The last option will switch the network automatically as per network availability

make sure you have a data enabled sim or you will see some hefty charges!!
