Is anyone else getting really fed-up with the Gail saga.
I know what Nick and Kylie did was wrong but at that moment they were both feeling rejected and found comfort in each other...that`s life.
Gail is a hard, bitter woman who wants everyone to be hurt because she has been...but that was her own fault...dallying with the man her mother loved so much ,no wonder Audrey doesn`t want anything to do with her
Time she was sent packing!!
David and Kylie could get a proper lodger who would be grateful for a home.
Before anyone says it..."I know it is only a soap".
what Mrs mm can't understand is, Gail could have sold the house to someone else for the said 90K paid back the 40K she owes, cleared off with her 50K leaving dopey David Kylie and Max to go live in grannies big house, then a new family could come into the street that can actually act, sorted
I know Gail is a pain but if they were to get rid of the older characters it would not be the same. Yes I agree Smowball it will have to come out but it is always long winded and that is why we get bored with the same old story line.
p.s It should be pointed out that most soaps put in annoying characters to MAKE you dislike them, so you keep watching to see if they ever get their come uppance.
I remember years ago when my teenage daughter watched Neighbours and there was an annoying character called something like Mrs Mangel?
She was that type of character, very annoying and I remember my daughter moaning about her.

Few characters in corrie I feel are pointless now, but perhaps kept on because they are an "institution". I mean, Emily Bishop, really when did she last have a compeeling storyline. Rita, Norris - YAWN!!!!!
not watched any soap for about 4 years, their ridiculous story lines finally got me to the point where I thought enough was enough, can't say I miss 'em either!

VHG that is exactly the point I was trying to explain but you have put it better. The old characters maybe don't have a lot of storylines but that is the making of Corrie.
I agree with VHG 100%. You don't have to watch the show. In my opinion watching soap operas is just an exercise in watching other people on the TV grow old. The show has been running for 30+ years and many of the characters have been on for upwards of ten or twenty of those years. Why not find a few interesting hobbies and diversions instead and get on with your own lives? Anyway, if you really want to see someone age on a daily basis, invest in a mirror!!
Can anyone remember Tracey Barlow having a fling with a much older man who may have been Audrey's 'boyfriend' at the time?
I remember a pool at his home.
Kal...I watch all types of programmes...have a wide interest...but I suppose one gets hooked on these silly soap storylines and look forward to the comeupances...still waiting for Kirstie to get hers!!!
My hobbies are reading,I am a real bookworm and genealogy research.
