I enjoy watching 'The Chase', but what amuses me is the number of times a contestant will take the lower offer saying " I want to be safe and get back for the final chase"
Surely they must realise that there is no safe option, if they don't answer the questions correctly, they are not going to get back whichever option they choose.
when I was on it, there were two sets of questions and an independent adjudicator who watched over what was going on to make sure it was all fair and above board.
I was up against the Sinna Man (who incidently looks much slimmer in real life).
I got caught unfortunately as did two others on my team. The questions seemed extremely hard and I was a nervous wreck! When I watched it back on TV I was amazed that I appeared so calm - must have done a lot of editing!
But still wouldn't have got the questions right even if I hadn't been nervous.
Good fun experience.
he was filming a new series of Law and Order recently in the capital, he was posing for pictures and chatting with members of the public whilst the crew were setting up, he seemed a nice bloke..
If I won £40,000 with my questions, and then another contestant goes for -£1.000 to get back I would be furious, they obviously are not that good, and then if I answered most of the final q's and we won, he would get half for nothing!!!! I'd be spitting blood!!!!
i would have thought it would be best to confer well before with a game plan, strengths and weaknesses, because the four will have different spheres of knowledge, and could maybe beat the chaser that way. I wouldn't like it if someone took the lesser money, but that is part of the fun in a way, and if someone takes the higher amount and doesn't make it through which often happens, then that is the game.
