We have been working on this puzzle and think I may have missed something obvious but can't see what it might be. The link to it is as follows and it works:
The hint in the puzzle is morse code and translated into English it is S.O.S. gen2 very kindly advised us that the the chart in this puzzle is separated by colour. We were also happy that she confirmed our knowledge of morse code to be correct in that morse letters are separated by colour. We are unfortunately still in the dark over this one and could do with a bit more help.
Any and all help would be very much so appreciated. Many thanks in advance.
For goodness sake RedDevil, do you not have ANY puzzle-solving ability?
I already thought I had given away far too much information but there is something I told you that you have not taken into account above.
Morse has two states - dots and dashes, the graph has two directions - up and down from the centre-line.
gen2: Many thanks for your help but we are hopelessly lost and despairing now. There are too many colour strands to fit in with a possible answer. We are getting used to cul de sacs now. :((
Methyl: we have tried posting there and got no help and been told it is bad form to do so. We don't agree with that. That is why we have had to use AB.
RedSky: We have tried that and the hint we got was not brilliant and introduced us to yet another dead end. The other hint we have been given is not brilliant either as there are too many coloured bars to make up a reasonable solution.
gen2: Many thanks for all of your help. We don't know how we could not see that. We think we were thinking too laterally and therefore thinking around the puzzle instead of focusing right at it. We will forgive the cartoon jibe too :).
Today has been an excellent day for puzzles for us. We set out with 11 to solve and we have now got solutions for 10. 9 we did by ourselves and 1 finally solved after some great help from you.
