Did anyone listen to radio 2 today, on the Jeremy Vine show (Vanessa Feltz standing in) there was a poem read at the end of the show written by Emily ??? I think she may have been French (not sure) it was about her partner/husband who was killed a year ago in Afghanistan, I only caught the end of it but it was very moving. If anyone knows where I can listen to the full poem I'd be very grateful.
I also heard this - so moving. It had originally been broadcast yesterday near the end of the Paddy O'connell show on Radio 4. He was so moved by the sadness of the poem he could barely speak. I think that the French lady who had written the poem and was reading it was Emilie Braisher, a journalist for Paris Match.
Likewise, ttfn. I have to listen to Ken Bruce, especially the Pop quiz at 10.30.I shout out the answers to the ones I know, but too scared to apply for it myself.
Haha! Think I may change my name to Lodgings now anyway!
I think one day in the long distant future I may pluck up courage to have a go, Caran. Sometimes the questions are ridiculously hard. I'd quite like a T-shirt, though...
PS Sorry to change the topic of original post, which was very serious.
