I bet the viewing figures are higher than they are for most of the programmes they displace in midweek, but at least we have plenty of channels to choose from so can turn over if we don't like it. We'll get two weeks of Wimbledon soon, which I will hardly watch but it give sme time to do other things

Now we have freeview cant you get ITV2, or ITV3 or ITV4 ?
Or one of the other channels on Freeview, there are plenty to chose from.
Have a look at the BBC4 channel, there is some interesting programs on there.
Also if you have a computer why not watch one of the hundreds of programs on one of the "catch up" web sites like BBC iPlayer, ITV player or 4ondemand and so on.
There is no need to be a "slave" to what is on the TV nowadays.
