A very windy Thursday. I'm off at six to take a friend to a hospital appointment in Gloucester. I'm picking her up in Stroud then a fight with the traffic on the M5. It's going to be an all day event apparently, so I'll go and see what's going on in the docks.
It pays the bills mate! ;o} Since I retired (medically) in 1998, I find I'm doing more than I was when I was working. My GP has given up all hope! It's just as well she's a friend! :o}
Good morning all from Edinburgh..xxx...sounds quiet outside here...has the wind moved to live with Boaty ?? No gardening for me yesterday..ended up going to hossie with dad so visiting brother could have a day mooching....garden today ?
..all well Boaty xx ..as can be expected ! Dad still bit sore with shingles...only 5 more radiotherapy treatments to go....having brother from Canada with his GF has lifted them both a bit...has also given me a little respite....not that I mind one bit doing what I can do, but it means I can get other things that have been neglected some attention ....
Got them Boaty.....what lovely things to have....Vera was arty ? I don't have the patience for things like that..my brother is the statisticians he had to choose between commercial art or architecture...went with the latter and has flirted round the globe as a result..
I had an aunt like that..I have some of her work here..Ruskin lace and tapestries..also paintings...nobody wanted it when she passed..but I think they are lovely my mum has some too....nice to have these very personal reminders...don't know why her own family did not want them....think they may regret their hastiness...
