last nights episode was it a repeat , im sure this suppose to be a new series but i knew the plot yesterday i knew who had killed the guy and that the son hit the mother , confused !! did anyone else feel the same ?

I didn't know the plot, no, but I have been wondering what is happening this series. In the first episode it showed the Chief Inspector get into her car and someone from behind was trying to strangle her - then it flashed back to earlier - but it never went back! What is happening? I never had trouble watching the other series.

Haven't watched it yet but it's definitely a new series. I do find though, if you watch a lot if cop/crime shows that stories sometimes crop up again in a different show than the original so you think you've seen it before. Law & Order Uk used a story the same (or very,very similar) to a Law & Order

Hit submit too soon. Another I remember was I think CSI doing a Law & Order storyline, or vice versa.

I was ironing in the kitchen whilst watching the first episode, saw the CI nearly get strangled and then nothing else happened. Hubby was watching in the lounge so I asked him what that was all about and he told me that it flashed up to eight months earlier (I must have been looking down at that point). So now we're still in that earlier period and I imagine the last episode will bring it up to date and explain why the CI was getting strangled.
