Sad to report,but Mr Kipling of Cake fame did not exist;I did know his Daughter(that is daughter of  actor James Hayter,who did the voice for years)

The real Mr Kipling(but nothing to do with cakes) was Author Rudyard Kipling.

Surely he did the voice of the man who KNEW Mr Kipling, didn't he? I don't think Mr Kipling ever spoke in the adverts, he was just spoken about.
