Does Stella own the Rovers, I thought she was just the Landlady and Newton and Ridley owned the pub then they would be responsible for sorting out the insurance.

Jack & Vera Duckworth bought it off Newton & Ridley. After various changes in ownership, Stella & Karl bought it but Stella later forced Karl to hand over his share.

I haven't watched Corrie since the days of Ena Sharples and Albert Tatlock but I can read Wikipedia!

and unless she bought it outright she'll still be liable for the mortgage as the unsurance won't pay for the lump sum they won;t be paying the mortgage payments. she can always sign on, she's not bothered doing that yet, when last did we see anyone from corrie actually attend the jobcentre? Mind you they always get a job handed to them without interview nor providing their proof of right to work in the UK or even getting out of bed in some cases.

I wonder how long a fire investigation lasts in real life. The reason her insurance was turned down were all to do with the keys being hung up where anyone could have nicked them. So they're saying she was careless therefore liable.

Yes Steve was involved somewhere along the line. I wonder how Stella is going to fund her big day to Karl, all Corrie weddings are arranged at short notice and no expense spared.
