Is it necessary to report on every single snippet of news no matter how disturbing? Most us can guess what happened to April the wound inflicted to Lee Ridgy so is it really in the public interest to report every detail.
I suppose some might say 'don't read about' or 'turn the news over' but i am finding lately there is no chance to escape as it is all over the headlines.
Is it just me or has anyone else noticed?

I think some news items at least should only be broadcast after the watershed e.g. images of Lee Rigby's killers with blood on their hands or talking graphically about child abuse cases.
I have noticed the news has become very graphic these days, particularly in the daily mail

I have had to turn the news off at tea time because my kids are in the room.
Oddly enough, some people like "every single snippet"...not all......but i do.
It also sells papers.
I don't think that the news has got more graphic and I would single out the Daily Mail particularly.
feed the kids in a different room.

News is news irrespective of how gruesome it is. That's life and death.
It happens.
It does happen.

But I don't think one should really single out the Daily Mail.

I'd certainly never do that.
A lot of articles in the mail come with graphic content warning, this has increased greatly from 5 years ago. but ho hum, generally im glad they come with a warning and of course I also have the option of not reading the mail online.
I thought this yesterday when after the murder trial we were able to hear the 999 call made by Aprils mother.

What need does anyone have to hear that now? I can understand in the early days maybe, while they were searching but it's almost like some sort of porn now. (I didn't listen to it)
