I'm half watching the channel 4 Comedy Gala thing.

Lee Evans has turned into a right Sweary Mary. Don't remember him being so fond of the f-word in the old days?

I don't particularly like him, I always thought he was more my Granny's taste so he can't have always been so sweary?

I agree. He is a funny guy and I have been a fan for years but using the f word just does not seem right in his act.

Haven't seen him recently. Don't know about sweary... however , he was very SWEATY!!

His roadrunner tour had plenty of expletives: with his story telling and sweat, it still makes him a very funny guy.

I,m afraid most "comedians" these days seem to think swearing is funny. Say the F-word and get a laugh!!!

I've never liked him, his frantic style really gets up my nose, it's like he has overdosed on cocaine or amphetamine.

The more a comedian needs to swear the less good a comedian they are.

I hate swearing on stage or in films, but I took the chance and went to a local comedy night a few weeks ago (my first ever).

One comedian swore a lot so I stopped listening to his act and just began to listen to how he used his swearing. I noticed when he said f**k for emphasis he usually got a big laugh.

Maybe if the audience did not laugh at the F word comedians would stop using it.

I just think it is a cheap way of getting a laugh.

I like Lee Evans but must admit the swearing is now spoiling the act, saw Tom O'Connor some years back on a stag do place full of blokes he was on 1hr 30 mins brought the house down everyone in tears laughing, he never swore once the entire act, class

I didn't find any of the comedians funny - watched for about twenty minutes and switched over.

I find myself increasingly out of step with what appears to amuse people lately - I have seen a trailer for the new comedy series 'Up The Women' about suffragettes - and already decided not to watch, it looks dreadful.

I cant watch him, mainly because of the sweating and the restlessness, it puts me on edge and makes me feel exhausted

Glad it's not just me that thought the swearing was a new thing. Just doesn't seem right coming out of his mouth.

I'm not usually offended by swearing (in the right situation), but somehow I did feel uncomfortable with his language.

I quite like John Richards (I think that's his name...) who was on after Lee Evans. He swore, but I found him funny.
