went and got my hair cut today, not washed, just a dry cut.a guy was getting his hair cut before me and she seemed to take ages but it was a good cut,When she finished they went up to the till and she told him it was £4.my turn next, got the same treatment ,but when I went up to the till mine was £8.95,it stated mens cuts £4,but I think that's discrimination,i very nearly said something.'WOULD YOU HAVE SAID SOMETHING ???

£4 ? Was he a pensioner? Most places around here charge around £11 for a men's dry cut but they often have decent discounts for pensioners.
For comparison though, the place I go to charges £9 when they think I'm not a pensioner, or £7 when they do. (I don't challenge them either way!). For that I get a really good dry cut, a 'cut throat' shave of my neck, any excess hairs on the side of my face burnt off with a flame, my nasal and ear hairs trimmed, my eyebrows trimmed, hot towels applied to my head and oils rubbed into my scalp.
Would I have complained in your situation? Possibly, but given that women typically pay around £20 around here for a simple cut, the price you paid doesn't seem too bad.

Wolf:
It's a long, wand-like thing, which he lights the end of with a cigarette lighter and then repeatedly flicks against the side of the customer's face. The first time I had it done was last year at an excellent barbers in the centre of Canterbury (where I would have expected to pay high prices but it was only £6.50) but I now regularly go here:
