Horizon documentary tonight - 50 cats in Shamley Green fitted with a GPS/Cam collar to see what they really get up to. Sounds interesting :)

Already clocked this LG. Will be watching this evening definitely.
I`m really looking forward to this. I remember when they invented the cat cam. I guess that gave the producers the idea of a larger study. There is another programme tomorrow night about cats, I believe.
I can't wait.
It'll be an eye opener for the pussy lovers. Will there be thousands of abandoned cats.
I've bookmarked to watch this, the catz may watch it too....

I was thinking that fender.
be warned if your cats react to sounds from the tv--- it was on breakfast tv this morning and they showed a clip of two of the cats have a slight disagreement, murph tore the house up looking for them
I'm gonna record this as it clashes with poker night!!

I would love to know what they get up too - I have only just started letting my beasts out at night and they are so exhausted in the morning they cant get their arses of the bed when I get up!!!
I would love to have a camera on our cat. I was talking to a near neighbours daughter the other day and she informed me that 'madam' jumps through their bungalow window and sleeps on her bed. Also 'madam' will not eat anything other than IAMS when she's at home but regularly has a very fishy breath reminiscent of Kitty Kat
sad to say my cat had a Wren for breakfast this morning. ='.'=
Do you live out in the country Epona or a built up area? I am out in the country so mine can wander for miles
There should be a curfew on cats. They get away with murder. Looking forward to the programme.
We live on the edge of a village, fields at the back but a busy road at the front. 'Madam' tends to go out the back and return with various wildlife but once i did see her across the road in a field. Once she moseyed on down the village green to watch a cricket match. I worry she may get run over but she would not be an indoor cat. I try to get her in on a night, winter is easy, bed by the radiator, but in summer she often has all-nighters then sleeps on my bed most of the day.
Its rotten finding your cat in the gutter Epona. We lost one that way.
My two are fighting over ownership of the sofa at present.

I hope that the programme is good after all the articles and hype that I have read about it. Cats are fascinating animals - they do what they want when they want and take the pi** out of us humans.
seadogg it is horrible finding any dead animal but she would be very unhappy indoors. When we moved we were advised to keep her inside for 2 weeks it was a nightmare she just looked out of the window mournfully.
wolf63 you are right! 'madam' has just made it clear in no uncertain terms she wants letting in so I Jump to it open the door immediately, then she's disgusted cos I haven't got her crunchies ready in her bowl and heaven forbid if she goes upstairs and the bed isn't made. I would not take that behaviour from my children lol!

I will be interested to watch it - not so much because I am a cat lover, but because I lived in Shamley Green many moons ago. There were definitely many many more than 50 cats in the village even then :)

I thought most cat owners got them collars with dinky bells on to help protect the ikkle birdies nowadays?
We're advised not to put collars on but to get them microchipped instead.

Cats have been known to strangle themselves getting their collars caught.
