Coronation Street Racist Storyline.

Did anyone else almost miss what Paul said? If I heard correctly it didn't sound that bad to me, it wasn't a remark directed at Lloyd either. I struggled to understand why such a huge storyline has been built up from tonight's episode - maybe I missed something else that was said.

Is it racist to believe that most white people are a tolerant people who stick more to the rules and show more politeness than most others?
This does not make us more superior than others it is just a part of our culture.
If a black person was to say to a fellow black person "come on play the blackman" while in a sporting situation, it would neither be racist or an attempt at showing that a black person was superior, only that they generally make better sports-persons.
