Yes it is over the top but we have to accept people use racist terms sometimes without realising it and it can strike a nerve sometimes. I noticed though that Lloyd called the taxi lady Fat Brenda- sounded offensive to me

The storyline under discussion is white on black racism.....and it seems to me that the majority of the complainers are white and therefore have no idea of how 'that' particular form of racism affects those on the receiving end.
