I have known cases where a buyer has collected the item after paying by PayPal. The seller has obtained a signed receipt with the buyer's name, address, phone number, eBay id stating the item was collected at (time) on (date).
In two cases the seller took photos of the buyer and even the car registration number.
The buyer, weeks later, successfully gets a refund for 'item not received' as the seller cannot provide a tracking number that proves the item was delivered to the PayPal registered address.
It sucks, but that how it works. PayPal and eBay are fantastic if you understand the rules. If you don't, or try to save money on postage by sending via standard parcel post or 1st class, or try to accommodate the buyer by sending to a different address or allowing collection, you have no protection whatsoever from fraudsters.
Hopefully, this will be a genuine buyer, bobby, but PLEASE understand and follow the rules next time you send anything you can't afford to lose.
