has anybody else seen this programme, and thinks its a scam!

watched it for three hours and was sure I had worked out the answer but after at least 3 hours it seemed no on else had the right answer

calls to the programme cost 1 pound a go so they must be raking it in

would love to know if anyone else saw it and has the answer to the question ( it was the train ticket question)

Looks definitely like a scam to me!

i've watched this before (not for 3 hours!) and was very confused.

the question was how much money is on screen with a picture of a few 10 notes and a load of coins.

i fail to understand how it works as i counted and recounted and recounted and got the same answer every time, but whenever anyone phoned in with my answer they were told it was wrong.

i really don't get it - unless it's some bizarre trick question!

Must be a scam. I've seen one where they ask you to add up a series of dates and hundreds of people were getting it wrong. Some idiots were coming back time and again.
I watched it the other night where you had to add the total spots showing on 6 die but no one got it right for as long as i was watching it. At the time i thought this was a scam .Did anyone else see the answer to that dice one ?
Have you ever tried ringing with your answer when you get through, they say sorry you have not been selected, try again.  What an easy way to make money.  Definitely a scam.
Yeah i was watching once and got so mad as i had the right answer but no one was ringing in so i did and after the 1 pound a minute phone call was told i had not been selected to the studio......once bitten and all that!

They had one the other evening where you had to make a word from the jumbled letters.

Their word (completely misspelled) was FORGOTTON.

How can you win a "quiz" when the answer is spelled wrong?????

Yes nedgray, I keep bumping into this show whilst surfing for Big B live; it really puzzles me.  They make it look like nobody is calling; make the girl look really awkward cos she has no callers, has a puzzled face.  Therefore the punter calls to put her out of her misery and can't even get through.  What a con!!

I agree with what others think is a Scam big time, I too watched it once for a long time and no one got the answer correctly and at the end the presenter told you the answer, but did not say how it was worked out. Think question was a phrase and how lines were in the Phrase. But have you seen any of the other ones ? There are at least about 10 on Sky channels and they are all the same. Some of them you ring in leave your answer and they 'suspose' to call you back but they never do. One was a extract from a picture showing just the eyes and nose was so obvious was Billy Connolly but people who rang in were giving answers ranging from Sean Connery to Eddie Izzard! How many people were watching that screaming its Billy Connolly and could not get through with the right answer.  Ive given up watching them all now.

As these shows seem to be a rip off (just an easy way to make money) I wonder if anyone has complained to the watchdog organisation (name I forget) to investigate these shows.

A couple of weeks ago, I too thought this was a scam with random answers to prolong the duration of the question.

However, after many hours of watching this channel, I have cracked half of their questions, confirmed when same type questions have re-appeared.  Presently, it's the die and dots that I am now working on.

My own opinion has now changed.  I think there is a logical answer to these quizzes.  However, the cost of entry is a scam. Nuff said.

I have won 2500 so far on this programme, 1,300, 400 and 800 today. Although I think the presentation of the show is designed to entice you, they are genuine puzzles and the answers aren't what they seem. The trick is to watch a type of puzzle, wait for the answer and then work out how they do it. Next time a similar puzzle appears you can confidently have a go at getting through. (Don't forget roman numerals for a start)!
On average I spend 20 on a puzzle that I know I have got the right answer to, so I think it's worth it. A good return, but I don't phone if i'm not 100% sure.
Should be renamed the Great Big Britsh CON  - not only are the answers totally obscure, they never explain how they are arrived at.  Worst of all must be the number of phone calls needed to get through to the wait list,  let alone to actually speak to the presenter.  I have wasted 's   but no more.  I have learned the hard way....I hope others avoid this CON / SCAM........If people feel strongly about this, I suggest they contact Trading Standards,  Telivison Watchdogs etc etc .  The sooner it is taken off air or cleans up its act the better.
Whitworth are you serious??  How do you get chosen when you call and what's the secret to the answers?
sunflower. Admittedly it takes persistence to get through, a call rush is quite a good time, oh I've also won another 400 recenty. However, they've changed/dropped the three puzzles that i had worked out how to do, so I have spent quite a bit trying to get through to answer a new puzzle and then been wrong! So am sitting back for a while until I've worked out how to do some of the new ones. I know it sounds a bit sad, but I've never won anything before and have become quite hooked.
Who thinks Whitworth works for the show?
