The original "Terminator" low budget, James who? suprised everyone, I never tire of watching it.

"I'll be back"
My son thinks it is the Die Hard trilogy, which he has just bought, whilst I do love it, I think I could watch Shawshank once a week and feel better.
"Monsieur Hulot's Holiday", 1952, black and white, starring the great French comic actor, Jacques Tati. Only Buster Keaton comes near this man as a movie comedian. I watched this recently in a cinema full of kids. They were falling about.
I'm with you on "Some like it hot" Ali Mac, superb film! My favourite of all time though,is" The Searchers".Even though I have it on video and d.v.d.I always have to watch it when it comes on t.v.as well.Like dot,I also love Shawshank too, there's just so much in it.

Two spring to my mind and we do watch them over and over again (lack of great tv progs at the moment) are:

Rita, Sue and Bob too ( a classic 80's Brit film)

National Lampoon's vacation ( the Wally World one)

At anytime one of us can slip into a character and say something from the script and every time the other one comes back with the correct response.

Great stuff!

Mines would have to be 'The Matrix', the first one, i like liked the other 2 but the first one was the best! Love that film!
Titanic

dirty dancing

(oh cherrybomb rita sue and bob too man theres a film i aint seen in years oh i liked that.)

Although not ultimately my favourite film, one film I have watched the most and never tire of is Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope.  I've probably seen it about 200 times although it's still as refreshing everytime.

I can also watch The Railway Children, Ice Cold In Alex and The Amazing Mr. Blunden (my fave film) over and over again too.

training day or the 1st matrix for me too
For comedies, I love The Odd Couple, Sci Fi has to be Blade Runner and anything with John Mills is great, but especially Ice Cold in Alex, although my favourite war film would be The Longest Day.
I'll post another vote for The Shawshank Redemption. I also love Withnail And I and could watch that many times over.
I love almost every film with denzel washington in he is a excellent actor. My fav films with i can watch over and over are chronicals of riddick and pitch black, brilliant films.
I have many favourites. If i had to pick two it would probably be out of two sequals. 'The Empire strikes back', or 'For a few dollars more'. If i had a choice from each genre, than that would be easier. For instance, my all time favourite horror is by far 'The Exorcist'.
Has to be Wayne's World.
Schindler's List, Amistad, or Ruthless People

Grease-I so wanted to be a Pink Lady.

And for sheer acting genius and poignancy - Scent of a Woman.Al Pacino one of the greatest actors of our time.(Could start a new thread!!)

The Thomas Crown affair (Remake with the sexy Pierce and Rene)

probably the sound of music for me. think i've seen it a fair few times (and ashamedly been to sing-a-long-a-sound-of-music)

everyone now, "the hilllllllllllls are alive..."

'The Family Way'. Fantastic dialogue and John Mills' greatest performance IMO.
