i always think error and mistake are the foundations of good TV & Film.
without them there would often be either no story, or no way to further a story.

people have to do the wrong thing in order for the drama to continue

if everyone did the 'right' or 'normal' thing straightaway, then the show would be over in 10 minutes

this is why we shout at the telly and huff that "as if you'd do that!" but if they didn't we'd be bored.
