Laptop Curser

When I move my curser on my lap top a little box type thingy comes on screen only for a second and it alters the size of my screen usually making it smaller. this box has an arrow on it. It's a pesky little thing like a fly I can't swat. It doesn't stay on long enough for me to stop it. it is behind my curser. how can I get rid of it. never had it on my other lap top but on this new one its always there. HELP!!!

It's the cursor curse. Do you use a mouse?
Try going on Control Panel> Hardware & sound> Mouse and then look through the options

thank you for your answers but I don't use a mouse only the touch pad on comp. ive looked on the link and cant make head or tail of it but i'll have another go thank you .
