Don't think much of the storylines in this series. But then its never been anywhere near as good as in Series 1. Agree?

Daft, unbelievable script.....The Dowager Duchess going to the station, with a lower class servant, to see off an even lower-class character from the Work House.....Carson the Butler having a music hall past, despite there being no mention of it before, the continuing management of a huge country house with about 9 servants...the list is endless.
The Yanks are lapping it up, thus further entrenching their anachronistic view of Ye Olde England, and the acting is quite good, although Carsons pomposity is beginning to grate.
But it has Maggie Smith, so it does have at least one saving grace.

Not seen last night's yet, but I have to agree Season 1 was best.
They are now in 1922 so my preditcion is that Edith and her beau move to Germany and get caught up in the pre-war Hitler stuff.
Mary and the ex chauffuer (sorry can't remember his name) will get together.
But after WWII the big houses virtually died out so where will they go next?
Can't see a season 5 happening.
