Great start to the new Saturday evening series. I like the characters (Mark Addy is always reliable) and while Jason is not Arthur (how I miss Merlin!) he'll do very nicely considering the other stuff on Saturdays is not my cup of tea at all! - except for Young Montalbano.

Hmm. All the myths are messed up and he's in a city that never existed (outside of the Pegasus galaxy). Isn't he drowning in his sub and what we are seeing are the last desperate acts of a dying brain? First ep OK.

I liked Mark Addy too, Arthur he isn't but he's still rather nice.

I keep hearing about this Young Montalbano, what's that?

The Young Montalbano is an italian detective series (subtitles) set in Sicily. It's basically a spin off. There has been a few series called Montalbano which have been great and this is Montalbano when he was younger and had just been got the Detective Inspector job. Obviously played by a younger - and dishier - actor. Very good series.

Because of that utter rubbish Strictly Come Dancing - the BBC obviously think kids would love to watch this!!!
