He was not good last Saturday on the live show, he could not read his autocue and Tess Daly covered for him a couple of times. The recorded show took over 5 hours to record as he fluffed his lines so often. I wonder if they are going to let him go. It is a shame, but there is a time when you have to accept that you can't do things anymore.
Because if you have a television you benefit from the BBC.
Even if you never watched the BBC - doubtful - you would benefit a) from the quality of programmes that other channels have to produce in order to compete with the BBC and b) from the way other channels have to schedule their ads to compete with a channel that shows none.
If you've ever been to America and tried to watch TV there - the same programmes you might watch here - it's far less enjoyable. The frequency of the ads ruins it. Here, the other channels can't get away with that because everybody would switch to the BBC if they tried.
