Im not sure our NHS is failing, sir.prize. People think it's so good they travel more than half way across the world to use it. I think the service is excellent and seems even better than ever given the new treatments that are available. We seem to have a choice of surgeries and walk in health centres locally now.

As for foreign aid, aren't we committed, along with other members of the G& or some other group we are members of, to giving a given small percentage of our GDP to foreign aid. Some of the foreign aid is designed to benefit us anyway and keep governments in places such as Pakistan on our side. Maybe we should freeze increases at time sother budgets are frozen, or maybe make a token tiny reduction, but i think it would damage our standing if we were to slash it

Maybe so factor - but while we give aid to supposedly educate Pakistan, our NHS staff are being deprived even a promised 1% increase in pay.

By the way - are we really succeeding in educating other countries to behave within an acceptable standard of society?
